High School Baseball:
Pipestone def. Worthington 4-3
--Worthington trailed 2-1 until scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. The lead would be short lived as Pipestone answered back with 2 runs in the top of the 5th on a 2-out 2-RBI double by Pipestone’s Collin Moeller. Tucker Sorenson had 2 hits for Worthington. The Trojans fall to 2-2 on the season and are scheduled for a road doubleheader on Saturday in St. Peter

--Landon Rogers, Brady Lonneman, Nate Lonneman and Ryan Wieneke each had 2 hits for Adrian

Edgerton/Southwest Christian def. Heron Lake-Okabena 2-0
--Luke Drooger threw a no-hitter for the Flying Dutchmen, walking one and striking out 11.

--Taylor Quiring threw a complete game shutout for the Eagles

--Andrew Johnson, Nick Newman, Bryan Doeden and Blaine Doeden all won in singles competition while Jonah McDonald and Orissa Nitibhon, Levi Blanchard and Sebastian Licea, and DJ Berger and Gage Langerud all won in doubles competition for the Trojans

High School Boys Golf:
Worthington def. Jackson County Central 156-157
--Joe Brinkman of JCC was the medalist with a 37. Tyler Van Hove and Ben Koepsell led the Trojans, each carding a 38. Alex Kremer and Will Mulder each finished with a 40 for the Trojans.

Murray County Central def. Adrian 157-165
--Ben Henning of Adrian and Adam Christensen of MCC were co-medalists’ with rounds of 37

Mountain Lake Area def. Heron Lake-Okabena 200-223
--Mountain Lake’s Aaron Walzak was the medalist with a 36

High School Girls Golf:
Worthington def. Jackson County Central 193-INC
--Kelicy Anderson and Rachel Koller led Worthington, each with a 47. Ashley Hoefker had a 48 and Anneke Weg had a 50 for the Trojans. Abby and Allison Benson of JCC tied for medalist honors with a 42. Weather permitting Worthington will host an Invitational on Saturday.

--Jason Zucker, Matt Dumba, Mikael Granlund and Jason Pominville each had a goal for the Wild as Minnesota takes a 1-0 lead in the Best-of-Seven series. Game 2 is in St. Louis Saturday afternoon

MLB Baseball:
Minnesota Twins def. Kansas City Royals 8-5
--Kenny Vargas and Kurt Suzuki each had a homerun for the Twins and Joe Mauer drove in 3 runs as Minnesota takes 2-of-3 from the Royals. The Minnesota Twins are 3-6 on the season and will host the Cleveland Indians for a weekend series. Game 1 is tonight and listen live on AM 730 KWOA at 6:30pm
