Tiffany Gehl named a NJCAA All-American

Minnesota West Sophomore Tiffany Gehl continues to add awards to her list of accomplishments as the Fulda native has been named a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III All-American

Tiffany Gehl was chosen as a First-Team All-American selection. Gehl averaged 22.9 points per game this season in helping to lead the Minnesota West Lady Jays to a 22-6 record and a runner-up finish in this year’s Region 13 tournament. Tiffany Gehl also became the Lady Jays’ all-time leading scorer, passing Sam Lynn’s 1,147 points. Gehl averaged 20.6 points per game as a freshman, helping Minnesota West finish 2012-2013 with a 20-7 overall record and a runner-up finish in last year's Region 13 championship. Last year she finished with 514 points and add that to the 640 points she scored during her sophomore season for a 2-year total of 1,154 points.

In an interview earlier this year with Radio Works, Gehl announced she will be continuing her basketball and academic career at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.

Several other players in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference also earned All-American Honors. Sarah Durand from the National Champion Northland Pioneers joined Gehl as a First Team All-American. Anoka-Ramsey's Olivia Antilla was a 2nd Team All-American and Anoka-Ramsey's Maria Loughlin was an honorable mention All-American Selection.
