Seedings and First Round Match for Minnesota Football Teams

Playoff seedings have been released for a number of area football teams.

In Section 3AAA
The Worthington Trojans are the #5 seed and will travel to Blue Earth on Tuesday (10/22) to face the #4 seed Blue Earth Area Buccaneers at 7:00pm. The winner of that game will travel to #1 Belle Plaine in a Section semifinal on Saturday, October 26th. Belle Plaine has a first-round bye. Fairmont is the #2 seed and has a first-round bye. Fairmont will host the winner of the first-round game between #3 St. Peter and #6 Sibley East on Saturday, October 26th. The Section title game will be hosted by the highest seed on November 1st

In Section 3A
The Adrian Dragons received the #1 seed in the tournament and United South Central is the #2 seed with both team receiving a first-round bye. The opening round matchups on Tuesday (10/22) will feature #5 Murray County Central at #4 St. Agnes with the winner to face Adrian in a section semifinal on Saturday, October 26th. #6 Red Rock Central will hit the road to face #3 Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Tuesday (10/22) with the winner to meet United South Central in Wells on Saturday, October 26th. The Section Final is November 1st at 5:00pm at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall

In Section 3AA
The Jackson County Central Huskies are the #1 seed and will host #8 St. James in Jackson on Tuesday (10/22). Other opening round matchups on Tuesday are: the Windom Eagles are the #7 seed and will head to #2 Maple River. #3 Luverne will host #6 Pipestone and #4 Martin County West will host #5 New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva. Semifinals will be held on Saturday, October 26th, hosted by the highest seed with the Section championship to be held on November 1st at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall at 7:30pm

In Section 3, 9-Man
Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley is the #1 seed and will host #8 Renville County West on Tuesday (10/22). Other opening round matchups on Tuesday are: #2 Mountain Lake Area will host #7 Hancock, #3 Edgerton/Ellsworth will host #6 Fulda and #4 Westbrook-Walnut Grove will host #5 Hills-Beaver Creek. Semifinals will be held on Saturday, October 26th, hosted by the highest seed with the Section championship to be held on November 1st at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall at Noon
