More honors for Minnesota West Bluejay sophomore running back Reuben Linton II.
The sophomore from San Antonio, Texas was named National Junior College Athletic Association's National Offensive Player of the Week after racking up 246 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns in Minnesota West's 38-6 win over Mesabi Range on Saturday. Through 3 games this season, Linton has amassed 493 yards rushing on 50 attempts, an average of 9.9 yards per carry, and has scored 7 rushing touchdowns this season. His 493 yards rushing are 2nd in the nation and the 7 rushing touchdowns are tied for 3rd best in the Nation.
Reuben Linton II was named the MCAC Southern Division Offensive Player of the Week after Week 2 Week 3 and was named Special Teams Player of the Week after returning two punts for touchdowns in Week 1.
The Minnesota West Bluejay Football Team is now 3-0 on the season and will travel to Thief River Falls to take on the Northland Pioneers on Saturday at Noon
