Reuben Linton II is named Player of the Week for a second straight week

Earlier this week the Minnesota College Athletic Conference released their weekly football awards and for the second straight week, Minnesota West sophomore running back Reuben Linton II has earned Player of the Week honors.

Linton, a sophomore from San Antonio, TX, was named this week’s Southern Division Offense Player of the Week. In Minnesota West’s 23-14 win over Fond du Lac, Linton ran for 164 yards and scored a pair of rushing touchdowns. Linton was named the Southern Division Special Teams Player of the Week after the Bluejays week one win over Vermilion, returning a pair of punts for a touchdown in the victory.

On the season, Reuben Linton II has rushed for 244 yards and scored 3 rushing touchdowns during Minnesota West’s 2-0 start. The Bluejays will host the Mesabi Range Norsemen on Saturday at Trojan Field at 11:00am. Live coverage of the game can be heard on FM 104.3 the Party beginning at 10:45am Saturday morning.
