Vorwald signs with Dakota Wesleyan

On Monday, Worthington Trojan Senior Jon Vorwald signed a letter of commitment to continue his basketball career at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota.

Vorwald, who has played on the varsity level since his sophomore season and a 2-year starter for the Trojans, averaged 9.5 points and 4 assists and drew 11 charges in 18 games his senior season. He also earned All-Conference honors in the Southwest Conference this season.

Vorwald will join another Worthington Trojan in Mitchell as former Trojan Jalen Voss is coming off another fantastic season for the Tigers as the sophomore was selected as an All-Great Plains Athletic Conference 1st team selection this season and a NAIA All-American Honorable Mention selection after averaging 14.2 points and 10 rebounds per game this past season.

Jon Vorwald is the son of Ron and Kris Vorwald of Worthington.
