Invasive Species

As weather continues to warm and summer finally gets rolling, it's important to keep an eye out for invasive species that are hazardous to our native Minnesotan lands, grasses, and waters.

Tune in this Thursday as ag broadcaster Sonja Langseth catches up with Susan Burks, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Forestry Invasive Species Coordinator, as they talk about the new PlayCleanGo initiative and the PlayCleanGo Day that coincides with National Get Outdoors Day and DNR State Park Open House Day on Saturday, June 8th. Find out how you can get involved as a PlayCleanGo volunteer and how to learn about preventing the spread of invasive species while encouraging outdoor recreation.

Did we mention all state park admission is FREE on Saturday, June 8th? It's a great opportunity to get the family off the couch and enjoying the outdoors.
