UPDATE: Names released in fatal crash near Lynd, three deceased

UPDATE:
LYND – Three people are dead and three more seriously injured after a minivan collided head-on with a shuttle bus Wednesday afternoon on Minnesota State Highway 23 near Lynd, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

A 1996 Dodge Caravan, driven by 80-year-old Robert McClain of Marshall, was traveling east on Highway 23 when it entered the westbound lane and struck a 2009 shuttle bus head on, according to information from the state patrol. He and his wife, Shirley MClain, 72, of Marshall, were declared deceased at the scene.


Ron Wood and Alan Oberloh speak out at last council meeting

WORTHINGTON – During their final meeting as part of the Worthington City Council, Mayor Alan Oberloh and Councilman Ron Wood each addressed the rest of the council, and the general message was one that stated while they both believed they had accomplished quite a bit on their years of service to the city, they felt they were leaving behind a council that was fragmented and not working together.

MCC Frozen parody involves students, staff and silly

SLAYTON – These days parodies are as plentiful as snowflakes, but getting a chance to see your high school home economics teacher chase her students out of the classroom with a broom while choir teacher Eli Johnson croons a tune lamenting the fact that Christmas break hasn’t started yet? Not quite as common.

Kristin St. John, who teaches English at Murray County Central, has a hit on her hands. On Thursday, she posted a parody on YouTube that she and some others created. “Let Them Go: A Frozen Parody” features staff from MCC and the PBIS students.

Free Bus Transport to MN Ag EXPO 2015
