UPDATE: Name released in fatal bike crash in Rock County

STEEN – The Minnesota State Patrol has released the name of the woman killed Monday just before noon when her bicycle pulling a trailer with her two children inside collided with a pick-up on Highway 270, north of Steen in Rock County.

Andrea Boeve, age 33, a nurse practioner, died in the crash. The two passengers in the bicycle trailer, 4-year-old Claire Boeve and 1-year-old Mallorie Boeve, suffered non-life threatening injuries. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Boeve was riding her bike eastbound on Highway 270 pulling the trailer when she collided with the 2003 Chevrolet pick-up of Christopher Weber, age 25, of Brandon, SD.

No further details regarding the crash were available.

STEEN – A fatal crash between a pick-up and a bicycle occurred just north of Steen on Highway 270 near mile marker 5 shortly before noon Monday in Rock County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The report states a Chevrolet pick-up driven by 25-year-old Christopher Weber of Brandon, SD, was eastbound on Highway 270, as was a bicycle pulling a passenger trailer, when the two collided.

The two passengers in the bicycle trailer, 4-year-old Claire Boeve and 1-year-old Mallorie Boeve, suffered non-life threatening injuries, as did Weber. The name of the bicycle driver has not yet been officially released.
