Kate's story: Keeping up the Kourage

WESTBROOK - Westbrook Fun Days have always been exciting, but this year there is a little bit of extra fun in the air. A special event has been added to the usual line-up that has even the most seasoned festival-goer raising their eyebrows a bit.

On Saturday night, former members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Journey and Santana will perform at a benefit concert at the Westbrook ball diamond in an event called Keeping up the Kourage for Kate.

Kate Jorgenson was 11 years old last summer when she was involved in an ATV accident that resulted in the loss of her arm. A year later, she is back on the volleyball team, loves to swim and plays the piano. Her motto: Don't tell me the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon!
