Luverne man in fatal car accidentPublished by on
According to a press release from the Rock County Sheriff's Department, at approximately 8:00 am, on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, The Rock County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Rock County Ambulance, Luverne Fire Department and the Minnesota State Patrol, were contacted about a rollover crash on 110th Ave, ½ mile south of County Road 8.
The driver, Dale Pick, 59, of Luverne, was traveling northbound on 110th Ave. Pick drove through a snow drift on the gravel road, causing him to lose control of his Propane truck, which is owned by Eastern Farmers Union of Brandon, SD and the propane truck rolled several times, causing him to be ejected from the truck. Pick was pronounced dead at the scene.
Pick was not wearing his seatbelt. It does not appear that drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, but tests were taken to verify.
