Route County detour to endPublished by on
LUVERNE– Motorists in Rock County will once again be able to travel Highway 23, as the detour should be removed during the week of July 22.
Traffic has been detoured since May 6 to reconstruct the pavement. The Highway 23 detour included Interstate 90, Highway 75, Rock County Road 12 and Pipestone County Road 1.
The Highway 23 project extended 17 miles from I-90 to Jasper and included removing the asphalt pavement and replacing with concrete. Some areas were graded to correct the subsurface. The $9.5 million project was awarded to PCI Roads, LLC. Motorist should now experience a much smoother and safer ride.
