WORTHINGTON – The Nobles County Commissioners on Tuesday approved the hiring of a Social Worker for Community Services/Public Health utilizing Child Protection Allocation Grant funding.
According to Community Services Director Stacie Golombiecki, each county was allocated a grant based on the number of children residing in the county, the number of screened child protection reports and the number of open child protection management cases. So far is 2015, the agency has screened 217 cases, and approximately 86 were opened for service, Golombiecki said.

WORTHINGTON – James Lee Miller pleaded not guilty to criminal vehicular homicide and criminal vehicular operation in Nobles County District Court last week, and also to the lesser charges of reckless driving and careless driving. WORTHINGTON - Bituminous overlay work on Nobles Street from near Ash Road to CSAH 5 has been scheduled to begin Monday, according to the City of Worthington Engineering Department.

Organizer Jeremy Thielen has selected Camp High Hopes in Sioux City, Iowa as the recipient of the funds raised. Camp High Hopes offers traditional camp experiences to intellectually and physically disabled.
