Stamp Out HungerPublished by on
On May 11th, letter carriers across the country (both for city and rural areas) will be collecting food for families in need as part of the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, benefiting Minnesota families in need through Second Harvest Heartland. Stamp Out Hunger is the largest single-day food drive in the country.
How can you help out? Easy: collect non-perishable food items in a bag and leave it by your mailbox on May 11th.
No time to go shopping? You can still help out by making a financial donation online; all online financial donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by TCF Bank up to a total of $24,000 from May 1-14th.
Donated food items must be non-perishable and non-breakable and can include canned soups, canned vegetables, canned fruits, canned meats, boxed pasta, rice and peanut butter. Please do not include items that have expired or are in glass containers.
