Schilling become Augustana's All-Time Leading Score
Published by onAugustana Viking senior and former Ellsworth Panther basketball standout Cody Schilling has added his name to the Augustana record books, becoming the school's all-time leading scorer on Wednesday night.
Schilling scored 25 points in the Vikings 91-83 loss to MSU-Moorhead in the opening round of the NSIC Men's Basketball tournament, putting his 4-year career total at 1,853 points. Schilling passed Carl Gonder's 1,830 points to take the top spot on the Vikings career scoring list.Schilling is averaging 16.7 points per game this season for Augustana.
For his career, Schilling has started every game during his 4-year career with career averages of 15.9PPG and 4.8RPG. During his high school career with the Ellsworth Panthers, Schilling scored 3,428 career points and at that time was the state's all-time leading scorer while leading the Panthers to Class A State Championships in 2007 and 2008.
With the loss, Augustana is now 17-10 on the season and will have to wait till Sunday's selection show to see if they are selected for the NCAA Tournament.
